Charity Supporter Engagement Assistant
Job Description
Job summary
Since 1999, RUHX has had an unwavering commitment to excellence that has extended beyond NHS budgets, supporting the RUH and community healthcare. We have gone further to give every patient the extra extraordinary care they deserve while supporting our staff to do what they do best and furthering innovation within our hospitals. We're out there in our community, collaborating with the people and organisations that drive real change. And we're making sure that every penny we raise goes towards improving health, happiness, and well-being for everyone in our community.
Every day on our team is a unique experience, offering a flexible work environment.
Main duties of the job
As our new Supporter Engagement Assistant, you will be a valued member of our charity team, directly engaging with a variety of people contacting RUHX in person, over the phone, by email or via post. Your job is to make sure these people are left feeling informed, valued and excited after speaking to us so that their experience of RUHX is extraordinary, leaving them feeling valued and committed to ongoing support. The role is fast-paced and requires someone energetic, organised and a team player, adaptable to various queries that come your way.
You must enjoy talking to members of our community to help give them support for a charity they are passionate about. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring we know our supporters and making sure they are on the right journey with the charity.
You will don't need any experience in fundraising or charity, but you must have a passion for customer service. We will help introduce you to what we do and to grow your career in the charity sector whilst being part of an ambitious and fun team going further to give every patient the extra extraordinary care they deserve.
About us
At the RUH we put people at the heart of what we do, working together as one team to make a difference for our patients, each other, and our community. No matter what your role is, we value everyone's contribution in supporting the exceptional, person-centred care we pride ourselves on.
We are proud to be in the top 20 best hospitals to work for in the country.
We are committed to creating a compassionate and inclusive environment. This can be seen in our growing community of staff networks - celebrating successes and creating opportunities to listen and learn. We value our differences, champion kindness and civility, and truly believe that diversity makes us stronger.
A culture of learning, developing and innovating is the thread that runs throughout our whole organisation. We want to support you to thrive, taking your career to its full potential.
We value staff wellbeing, with a well-established programme of support. We believe in a holistic approach spanning all aspects of living a healthy life, including physical, emotional, spiritual and financial wellbeing. We've even got a pool!
We are committed to supporting you and hope you want to join our team. In the meantime, find out more about living and working the beautiful historic city of Bath, learn about our extensive package of staff benefits, and read about how we're providing healthcare fit for the future with the landmark Dyson Cancer Centre and our passion for research.
