Job summary
It's a time of change for all six teams in East Midlands and the ideal candidate will embrace change whilst contributing to better ways of working as the separate geographical teams move to working together more closely as a region.The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess organisational and IT literacy skills. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, use their own initiative and are organised with a desire to support colleagues and resolve issues. Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to prioritise their own workload and work unsupervised. The ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers is essential. An essential part of the role is quality data entry and data validation.
Most roles in SCW operate between 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with some roles having a requirement to cover an occasional Saturday morning shift 9am-12 noon.
This role can be delivered in a flexible hybrid way with any travel, site visits or meetings arranged by agreement on a very occasional basis.
Main duties of the job
- The post requires inputting data and carrying out crucial data qualitychecks that support the Child Health Information Service outputs and following systems that promote and support the continued development and improvement of data quality across Child Health Services.
- To accurately record births and create new referrals to the Health Visiting Service.
- To proactively follow up incomplete immunisation histories.
- Requirement to work on a Saturday on a Rota basis if applicable to the service.
- To accurately record immunisation data for 0-19 year olds.

Person Specification
Education
Essential
- Good level of education including GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Knowledge of more than one relevant computer system.
- Good understanding of the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality regulations.
- Experience of data inputting and data quality work.
- Experience of health service information systems and datasets or equivalent.
Desirable
- Experience of working within a Child Health Information setting within the NHS.
- Knowledge and experience of working on SystmOne
Skills & Capabilities

- Experience in Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word with intermediate keyboard skills.
