Job summary
Derby City South PCN are providing a 'Team Up' service for the population of the PCN. We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Operations Manager to help develop this new and innovative service, who will assist the PCN Business Manager in the smooth running of Team Up Operations.
Team Up Derbyshire is an ambitious programme in Derby and Derbyshire that aims to create one team across health and social care who look after housebound patients in a neighbourhood. A housebound patient is someone unable to leave their home due to physical or mental illness. It includes people living in their own home or a care home. These patients tend to have complex health and social care needs. Being housebound can be a permanent or temporary situation. This team will provide planned care and urgent care. If someone is housebound and needs a service, this team will deliver it.
The Postholder will be a dynamic individual who likes rising to challenges but able to think calmly and rationally under pressure with the ability to make reasoned decisions and escalate issues appropriately. The Postholder will demonstrate exceptional and sensitive interpersonal skills, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have experience of dealing with difficult or challenging situations or individuals.
The successful candidate will have experience in a fast paced office environment, and good experience in using clinical systems such as SystmOne.
Main duties of the job
The postholder, in conjunction with the PCN Business Manager, will be responsible for the day to day operational success of this service. Please see the full job description attached to this advert for more details.
This will include (but not limited to) the setting up and management of Systm One rotas; using reports and data tools to audit and analyse success; involvement in strategic planning and development of the service; working with lead clinicians to allocate appropriate visits for patients; building relationships with PCN practices and community providers to ensure better care for patients; coordinating and communicating with the teams to ensure a smooth running of the office environment; ordering supplies.
It is expected that the postholder, once developed and trained, will provide line management for some of the PCN Team Up staff members.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge of Systm One
Experience
Essential
- At least one years experience of administrative/ HR duties
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Understanding of adult safeguarding
Desirable
- Experience of working within a Primary Care setting
- Experience in a personnel or recruitment environment and dealing competently with a range of employee enquiries.
