Job summary
Must have experience in working in a GP Surgery
- To assist the Reception manager.
- To assist with maintenance with the rotas on the clinical system
- To assist with the Shortfall of appointments what resources may be needed to cover this (asking for others to cover illness
- To assist with reception rota (keeping cover at an acceptable level, this may mean covering any shortfalls)
Main duties of the job
- Development of reception colleagues training, Reviews,
- To make sure patients are seen by the right clinician at the right time
- IT support for reception
- Development of appropriate procedures and protocols
- Ad hoc projects and support for Reception Manager
- To manage Nurse Appointments release and change slot types.
- To keep the team up to date with any changes.

Job responsibilities
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance of all clinical rotas on SystmOne
Shortfall of appointments what resources may be needed to cover this.
Maintenance of reception rota (keeping cover at an acceptable level, this may mean covering any shortfalls)
Nurse Rotas: To manage clinic needs to get cover for nurse clinics if and when needed
HR duties for reception colleagues recruitment, training, holidays and performance management
To make sure patients are seen by the right clinician at the right time
IT support for reception and clinical colleagues
Development of appropriate procedures and protocols
Targets and Objectives
Develop and implement an ideal week to improve patient access
Developing the GP Assistants role to reduce GP workload.
Research Administrator
Seasonal Campaigns
Attend Management training courses.
Person Specification
Experience
Essential
- 12 month experience working in a GP Practice
Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE or Equivalent
- Speaks English
- Experience of working in a GP Practice
Desirable
- Customer Service
- Is used to working in a fast paced working environment.
- Can work under pressure.
