Job summary
DSFS Ltd are seeking to recruit a successful candidate into the position of Finance Partner. The role will support the Surgical Division at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS FT.Building good working relationships with either Divisional colleagues will be important.
You will be an integral member of the Divisional Leadership Team (DLT) and lead finance business specialist for the division, working closely with DLT to provide a comprehensive range of specialist and expert financial advice, training and support to enable the delivery of services efficiently and economically, as well as ensuring the achievement of all divisional financial targets.

Main duties of the job
Lead a financial management team providing direct financial support to the division, ensuring full compliance with financial best practice, specifically in relation to:
Budget setting and reportingForecasting of expenditure, activity, and incomeMaximisation of incomeDelivery of Transformation Programme savingsBusiness case developmentActivity and capacity planning and service developments
Contribute to and influence the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the division, ensuring effective accounting and operational management systems are in place to facilitate financial governance and control.
Analyse, interpret and communicate highly complex financial information to non-financial managers in a manner that is clear and effective to facilitate effective decision making and service development.
Lead on identifying and disseminating the financial impact of business cases and developments.
Take a lead role in the identification and development of divisional transformation programmes, monitoring their achievement and evaluating their successes to ensure they meet the strategic objectives of the trust in terms of financial and quality outcomes.
Play a key leadership role within the organisation.
As a member of the DLT contribute fully and effectively to the development and delivery of divisional strategies.

- Experience in a senior financial management role.

- Experience of a wide range of financial accounting and information systems and accounting procedures with a large complex organisation.
- Experience at a senior level in a highly complex financial environment.
- Experience of modelling the financial impact of service pathway design.
- Experience of developing income, expenditure, and activity forecasts, including the modelling of different scenarios.
- Expert analytical skills to solve highly complex financial and non-financial problems.
- Track record of financial and non-financial achievements
- Experience of leading, managing & developing teams.
Desirable
