Job summary
We are looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our Domestic Services Team located at Salford Royal Hospital
We are recruiting for full time 37.5 hours per week, The shift pattern will be Monday /Tuesday/Thursday /Friday Saturday 14:00-22:00
The successful post holder will be part of a team working within our Estates & Facilities department, offering a high quality, flexible and customer focused service. The Domestic Services Team Manager is an important member of the team who helps provide a range of duties across the hospital in a professional manner.

Main duties of the job
You will ensure the day-to-day domestic work is carried out effectively by the domestic team and manage and re-organise the work of team members schedules taking into account unforeseen circumstances i.e., sickness absence.
You will also assist and provide a full cleaning service to sterile areas, offices and departments in accordance with work schedules and activity within the area.

Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ 3 Cleaning or equivalent experience of managing/supervising a team in this work area.
Skills/Experience
Essential
- Experience of supervising domestic staff in a hospital /care setting
- Demonstrates knowledge of cleaning methods and protocols
- Demonstrates ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and to work without direct supervision
- Previous domestic experience in a hospital/care setting.
- Basic IT / keyboard skills
- Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, Health and Safety and COSHH policies
- Experience of working in a team and independently
