Job summary
Ensure the delivery of a full cleaning service within NHS Property Services premises in accordance with the NHS Property Services Domestic Services Operative Manual, at the prescribed times, in line with policies and procedures and as detailed in the cleaning work schedules through the provision of supervision and support to the cleaning team.
Main duties of the job
1. Through the day to day supervision of domestic services, ensure the provision of a high quality, cost effective cleaning service which reflects customer need and operates as an effective commercial business unit. 2. Ensure a clean environment for patient care in accordance with health & safety requirements, NHS National Specification of Cleaning Standards, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) and NHS Property Services policies and procedures. 3. Complete, in good time, any administration activities associated with the role, including but not limited to: timesheets submission and approval onto the company HR information systems; rostering; absence records; annual leave information; stock order forms and NHS Property Services/ward communications

- City and Guilds Level 2 Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent demonstrable experience
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willingness to work towards City and Guilds Level 3 Cleaning and Support Services
Experience

- Experience of supervising domestic services people
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Experience of using different cleaning tools/equipment Experience of working in a healthcare related environment.
- Experience of managing consumables/stock levels
- Experience conducting cleaning audits and making judgements on compliance.
