We are seeking an Education Facilitator to join our dynamic team and help the Trust maintain its position as one of the most innovative and leading cardio-thoracic specialist NHS organisations. The successful post holder will share our vision and values, be enthusiastic and professional in their approach and have passion for multi-professional education.
The role is central to the planning, delivery and evaluation of training programs across the non-medical professions and grades, tailored towards staff, students and other learners. The post holder will support learner supervision, mentor educators/assessors, and contribute to service improvements.
Candidates will need to hold membership with a UK-regulated health care profession and have previous relevant clinical experience at Band 6.
Informal visits are welcomed and encouraged.

Main duties of the job
Deliver education to learners in practice, and support practice assessors/educators through a train the trainer approach, including action planning and fair assessment.
Deliver core clinical training, induction, and competency workshops for staff, aligning with organisational needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while aligning with team and Trust goals and values.
Lead on planning and organisation of activities and programmes such as student induction, student forums, clinical skills session, requiring problem solving and analytical thinking.
Provide pastoral support and signposting to students and learners
Support the delivery of education at outward-facing events, liaising with external partners, such as Higher Education Institutes (HEIs), NHSE, the ICB and schools and colleges, ensuring collaborative relationships are fostered and RPH is represented.
Deliver clinical skills training as relevant to own scope of practice.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Professional: Registered Nurse, Allied Healthcare Professional.
- Degree level qualification (Or evidence of studying at level 6).
- Qualification and experience in student assessment such as: Practice Assessor/Educator, the mentorship preparation pathway, ENB 998, or equivalent.
Desirable
- Teaching/training qualification to a minimum of Diploma level or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
- Demonstrable post registration experience.
- Ability to communicate information which may be difficult/sensitive or complex to both individuals and groups.
- Experience in teaching and assessing competencies/proficiencies in the clinical learning environment.
- Knowledge of HCPC Standards/NMC Code of Conduct, Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment and professional practice guidance.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office/teams including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
