Working within the Coventry RISE Emotional Health & Wellbeing Team , you'll be at the heart of delivering life-changing support, ensuring every child receives the right care, at the right time.

As a clinical leader , you'll mentor, guide, and inspire Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioners and Counsellors, ensuring they thrive and grow in their roles. Your expertise in psychological interventions and adolescent mental health will influence best practices, professional development, and service excellence . You'll also provide specialist training and consultation , shaping the way mental health support is delivered across the sector.

Main duties of the job
You're an experienced, values led & dynamic leader with a passion for improving children and young peoples emotional wellbeing. With a strong clinical background , you're confident in delivering evidence-based interventions and guiding multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes. Your ability to supervise, mentor, and inspire practitioners ensures high-quality care across the service.
Essential:
- A core professional and/or clinical qualification (e.g. EMHP, CWP, PMHW, mental health nursing, social work, occupational therapy).
- 2-4 years of experience working therapeutically with children and young people.
- Experience in line management, supervision, and clinical leadership .
- Ability to assess, plan, and deliver interventions while managing risk effectively.
- Strong communication, collaborative working, and IT skills .
- A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Having a postgraduate qualification in supervision or low-intensity CBT , experience in mentorship, leadership within CYP services , and expertise in multi-agency collaboration will also be a benefit to you in this role but aren't dealbreakers.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Core professional and/or clinical qualification e.g. EMHP, CWP, PMHW, nursing with specialism in mental health or learning disability nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work
- Evidence of continued professional development
- or
- Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision (EMHP supervisor course)
- 2 years post qualification experience working with CYP emotional wellbeing and willingness to undertake PG Cert on appointment.
Desirable
- Management / supervision training
- Therapeutic post graduate qualification ( ideally in low level CBT)
- Post Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline
- Mentorship qualification
Experience
Essential
- 2-4 years working therapeutically with children and young people
- Experience of line management / supervision.
- Experience of delivering informed supervision, ideally of practice related to emotional and mental health.
- Experience of working in a community and/or educational environment
- Evidence of clinical development
- Collaborative working
- Experience of effective engagement with families and carers
- Experience of organising team duties
- Experience of inducting staff members to the area with confidence
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Desirable
- Experience of leadership within Children and Young People clinical service areas
- Experience of providing mentorship
