Exciting Apprenticeship Opportunity at Sherwood Forest Hospitals

You will be based primarily at the King's Mill Hospital site, working within the Hard FM specialty. Your role will involve collaborating with various specialities within the Trust Estates & Facilities team. You will assist in energy management, energy reduction, and energy monitoring. This will include:
Providing expertise to colleagues on energy management.
Contributing to the development of energy reduction and efficiency plans.
Analyzing data and creating reports.
Developing and proposing potential energy reduction and efficiency projects.

Skills, Qualities & Knowledge
Essential
- GCSE A-C in English or Equivalent
- GCSE A-C in Maths or an Equivalent Science
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with others
- The ability to lead, facilitate and involve people and groups
- Flexible approach to working arrangements
- Professional and supportive attitude
- Highly motivated, Willing to learn and open to change
- Good level of ICT literacy including MS Outlook, internet, Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Desirable
- A passion for energy and cost reduction and a desire to support commitments to improve the environment we live and work in
- Demonstrate problem solving and data analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of NHS & UK Government commitments on carbon reduction, energy efficiencies and Net Zero
- Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative but is able to identify own limitations and is not afraid to ask questions and seek support when required
- The ability to present and explain complex information in simple terms to other staff in presentations
- Previous Energy Management or Energy Budget Experience
- Enthusiastic and committed, with determination and drive required to implement, manage and deliver change
- The ability to forward plan, prioritise and manage to deliver successful outcomes
- The ability to demonstrate strategic and innovative thinking
- Calm when under pressure in a busy environment
