Position Type: Self-employed, Part-time or Full-time (2 x 4-hour sessions per day, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Role Overview:

As an ENT Consultant, you will be responsible for providing top-tier care for routine ENT conditions, including the management of paediatric cases. Working autonomously, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the patient journey and the efficiency of the ENT service. You will report to the Service Manager (Operations) and collaborate closely with the ENT Lead to manage and optimise the service, ensuring it aligns with our goals and objectives.

  • Deliver high-quality outpatient care for routine ENT conditions, including paediatric cases
  • Work autonomously in a community setting across multiple locations
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager (Operations) and ENT Lead to manage and improve the ENT service
  • Contribute to optimising patient pathways, service efficiency, and overall performance
  • Lead efforts to reduce costs and motivate staff to maximize efficiency and deliver the best patient outcomes

  • Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or overseas equivalent FRCS (ORL-HNS)
  • Fully trained GPwSI in ENT

What is the purpose of the position?

  • To support the growing demand in our Consultant-Led Community ENT Clinic
  • Applicants must be able to deliver the highest standard of out-patient care, covering all routine ENT conditions including the management of children, working autonomously in a community setting
  • The post holder will report to the Service Manager (Operations) and, in partnership with the ENT Lead, is responsible for managing all aspects of the ENT service, in line with agreed aims and objectives
  • The post holder will contribute to optimising the patient pathway and the efficiency of the ENT service, and will drive best practice in overall performance and finance.
  • To actively seek ways of reducing outgoings by new ways of working and motivating all the staff to deliver maximum efficiency
