Job summary
Reporting into the Mechanical Estates Operations Manager the post-holder is responsible for providing leadership to the operational mechanical engineering team, the development of standardised practices and processes within their area of responsibility (trade group) and to support the delivery of modern maintenance services meeting compliant standards within a customer care focused environment
The post-holder will provide specialist leadership, advice and support on mechanical plant within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Assist the Estates Operations Manager in ensuring a cost-effective and efficient engineering maintenance service is provided.
Deputise for the Estates Operations Manager in times of absence.
Provide site technical knowledge to engineering project engineers/consultants.
Participate in the Trust on-call rota for out-of-hours estate management.
Requirement for cross site working when required

- Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship
- A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Recognised AP training/ Appointment

- Working knowledge of pressure systems, (Steam raising plant)

- Evidence of broad range of engineering in a building services environment
- Evidence of managing breakdown or project work from inception to completion
