HMP Leeds is a remand prison with a fast paced healthcare department that provide care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The site have a high proportion of substance misuse and long term conditions patients and run a successful nurse lead service. You will be working closely with the multi disciplinary team to delivery high quality healthcare services and have a number of opportunities for learning and development. Hours
Monday and Tuesday 8am-4.30pm
We also have the opportunity to take on additional evening sessions. Salary This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary up to £131,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience How will we support you? Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
- Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active

- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
