Job Description

Job summary

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) exists to help improve the quality, sustainability and productivity of health and social care in England. We have an international reputation for our approach to producing guidance and information on effective practice that supports better decisions and helps the health and care system to prioritise its investment. We are one of the world leaders in the work that we do.

The Head of Product is an exciting new role at NICE and will lead, develop and oversee the portfolio of digital products, services and content that NICE creates for our external, primary audience (health & care practitioners, commissioners and providers), to make our guidance more useful and usable. The postholder will be responsible for delivering NICE's vision to provide a useable guidance product offering that makes it easier for practitioners, commissioners and providers to make the decisions they need. To achieve this, the Head of Product will lead the vision, set strategic direction and develop and implement the associated multi-year work plan (outlined in the NICE Useable Product Strategy) to maximise the impact of NICE guidance using digital products, services and componentised content. This will require significant leadership of highly complex transformational change.

Interviews are anticipated to take place on Monday 24th February in our London office, E20 1JQ

The key areas of responsibility for the Head of product will be:

  • Product Strategy
  • Product Leadership
  • Product Delivery & Continuous Improvement
