Job summary
To work as a core member of the Department of Sexual Health team, providing support in respect of both direct patient care and administration duties as delegated by the Sister / Charge Nurse for the department.
The focus of the department is to provide sexual healthcare incorporating the screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, contraception, HIV care and health promotion to the population of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a range of designated clinical duties within their scope of competence, be responsible for the maintenance of stock control and general tidiness of the department.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious, motivated and hard working individual to apply for the position of Health Care Support Worker within the Department of Sexual Health.
The Department of Sexual Health is part of the Primary, Community and Intermediate Care Clinical Board of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The focus of the department is to provide sexual healthcare incorporating the screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, contraception, HIV care and health promotion to the population which includes a large student cohort.
The role requires the skills of an experienced Health Care Support Worker who would be expected to work autonomously as well as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
