By working with us as a Healthcare Assistant, youll be a valued member of a compassionate team, dedicated to looking after a young boy in Barnsley, who has complex care needs including a tracheostomy.
He is a relaxed and cheerful boy who loves interacting with his family and care team. He likes listening to all genres of music, enjoys having cuddles and cherishes time spent with loved ones.
Your role? To meet his personal care needs, undertake regular observations, and tend to his clinical requirements throughout the night, ensuring his comfort and safety, and creating a calm environment.

Main duties of the job
Pay Rates:
- £13.00 - £15.50 per hour
- Approx. £162.50 - £193.75 per 12.5-hour night shift
Shifts Available:
- Part Time Nights
- 8pm 8:30am
- 1-3 Shifts Per Week
Essential Experience:
- 3 months previous care experience
- Medication administration
- Personal care
- Moving and handling

Job responsibilities
The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.
The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.
Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
