Job summary
Our Domestic Services Department pride ourselves on the high standards of cleanliness throughout our services. Healthcare Cleaners are a valued member of the Healthcare Team and are respected for the work they do.
Healthcare Cleaners provide a range of cleaning duties across the Trust and support services to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service to all patients, staff and visitors is delivered.
Variety of hours available to include:
2 posts available - 7am-1:30pm Sat & Sun (x12 hours)
2 posts available 2:15pm-7pm rolling 3 week rota (x23.75 hours)including bank holidays and weekends
Main duties of the job
Basic knowledge of cleaning standards which can include wards, outpatient /clinical areas.
You must be able to work alone or as part of a team.

Deliver the highest standards of cleaning service to the ward at all times observing work schedules and The National Specifications for cleanliness in the NHS requirements.
Changing window nets, curtains, screen and bed curtains wipe/wash net and shower curtains periodically the making of beds on residential areas.
Damp wiping of all furniture, fixtures and fittings, ledges, pipes, tiles, glass partition, walls, doors and panels, internal window blinds
The successful candidates will receive full induction training.

Qualifications
Essential
- No formal qualifications are required, but post holder must be willing to undertake necessary training to the role
Desirable
- Have knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures (inc. COSHH)
- Have knowledge of infection control guidance and procedures
Experience

- Evidence of basic knowledge of cleaning principles

- Evidence of knowledge of manual handling techniques
