Permanent | 18.75 hrs per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our team to support our Urology and Continence Nursing Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others and excels in a busy, patient-focused environment.
About You

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Lead Nurse (Urology), your responsibilities will include:
Maintain accurate databases and spreadsheets, following up on outstanding information from families, schools, and other departments.
Communicate with parents, schools, GPs, and clinicians to gather necessary patient information.
Handle sensitive inquiries and requests, ensuring prompt responses and compassionate support.
Triage and delegate calls and messages, working with different departments to address patient-specific queries.
Monitor and order supplies to ensure stock levels are maintained.
Perform general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and clerical.

- Customer service experience acquired from working in a customer service environment.
- Experience in accurately updating systems including database and spreadsheet management.
- Experience providing administrative support for meetings, including preparation and note taking.
- Experience in working with families to resolve queries and find solutions to problems.

- Ability to self-manage own workload, and referring when appropriate
- Knowledge of data protection and working with confidential, sensitive information.
- High levels of attention to detail with ability to input information into different systems.
- Ability to use various Microsoft Office programmes.
- Ability to explain processes to people clearly adapting communication style as necessary.
- Ability to navigate challenging conversations with empathy and clarity, particularly when addressing concerns about long wait times with parents or patients.
- To be able to work as part of a team and autonomously.
