Lead Housekeeper
Job Description
The successful candidate will be expected to: Help replenishment of medical gases in the medical gases storage as required. Undertake errand duties when/as required. Ensure all rubbish is disposed of in accordance with hospital policy. Maintain the general cleanliness by assisting in cleaning the rest of departments as per rota. Undertake specific cleaning duties when requested. Maintain security within the department. Any other duties commensurate in line with the requirements of the post. Undertaking the day to day cleaning of patient, public and employee areas. Maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and Healthshare employees. Replenishment of linen and consumables. Flexibility to work in all departments (including Theatre areas) and at other Healthshare sites where appropriate and as requested. Cleaning and servicing of all hospital areas (clinical and non-clinical, including Theatre) to the required Healthshare standards and in line with Healthshare procedures. Setting up of rooms in accordance with the policies and procedures. Undertake any duties required of the housekeeping department including the housekeeping duties in all kitchen areas. Complete daily task sheets on a daily basis for auditing purposes as required. Comply with room clean target times and any timing targets for cleaning of general areas. Undertake deep cleaning of areas on a rota basis and/or according to the cleaning schedule. Use cleaning chemicals and materials according to instructions, COSHH reports and Healthshare procedures. Use appropriate H&S signage at all times to notify employees, patients and visitors that cleaning is in progress. Management duties and responsibilities To work with the wider Housekeeping Team to ensure that the clinic is clean and compliant with health regulations. All Cleaning and Regular checks are undertaken of all hospital areas as assigned. Checklists to be completed and signed appropriately. That all issues and concerns are proactively managed and communicated to the Line Manager. Patient Pathway Planning The post holder may be required to carry out other relevant duties as required and directed by hospital Team Leads The Lead Housekeeper will be expected to participate in objectives, contractual obligations and governance agenda. They will make themselves familiar with, and adhere to, at all times, the policies and procedures of the clinic The post holder will be expected to work to the Department objectives and standards in order to provide an acceptable level of service.
