Job summary
We are hoping to recruit a Band 3 Learning Administrator to cover cross site between Royal Oldham Hospital and Fairfield General Hospital.
The post holder will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate administration and reporting of training compliance of our staff. They will provide excellent customer service by assisting our learners in using ESR Learn. In addition they will have a supervisory role by supporting junior staff within the team.
Successful candidate will have experience of accurate and timely data inputting and excellent knowledge and application of Microsoft Office packages. You will be confident in using Standard Operating Procedures within an administrative and customer facing environment. You will be able to communicate confidently with staff and visitors and provide a professional service at all times.
Extensive experience of working in an administrative role is essential to this role.

If not currently held you will be expected and supported to work towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in an appropriate subject.
Main duties of the job
You will Work closely with all members of the Learning and Development team to ensure that training and development programmes within the NCA are run efficiently, effectively, to a consistently high standard and in a way that promotes a professional ethos.
The postholder will act as first main contact and support and provide the daily frontline support for our ESR Learn helpdesk. Provide a high level of customer service and ensuring all emails and telephone calls and enquiries regarding learning events and ESR Learn are answered in a professional and timely manner. Arrange training venues, liaise with speakers and trainers, and book classrooms as required.
Use ESR Learn to set up, record and monitor training events
Assist in producing training materials and collate feedback from training sessions.
Work flexibly to ensure the smooth running of the administration services within Learning and Development including working at other Northern Care Alliance sites as required.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards
- Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 or equivalent (GCSE A-C)
- Computer Skills - ECDL or equivalent
- RSA 2 or demonstrable typing skills
Desirable
- Customer Service qualification at Level 2
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential
- Substantial experience of using Windows Microsoft Office package including databases and spreadsheets
- Experience in telephone and interpersonal work dealing with members of the public and staff in a confident and helpful manner
- Experience of reviewing administrative processes and procedures and implementing changes
- Effective written communication skills
Desirable
- Experience of working in a HR department and/or within the NHS or public sector
