Job summary

The Learning and Development Facilitator role at Avery Healthcare is focused on driving performance and quality within the organization through the delivery of quality-assured training to the team. The successful candidate will ensure that Avery has a competent and compliant team to deliver exceptional care to its residents.

Main duties of the job

As the Learning and Development Facilitator, you will be responsible for leading training sessions for a cluster of homes, focusing on statutory and mandatory topics. You will also identify learning needs using the Learning Management System, plan and design engaging learning courses and content, and facilitate interactive induction and refresher courses both face-to-face and virtually. Additionally, you will be responsible for accurately recording training sessions in the LMS and assessing learner knowledge, confidence, and understanding throughout the training process.

You will be ensuring that we have a competent and compliant team to deliver exceptional care to our residents.Other responsibilities will include:

  • Leading training sessions for a cluster of homes, focusing on statutory and mandatory topics
  • Identifying learning needs using the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Planning and designing engaging learning courses and content.
  • Facilitating interactive induction and refresher courses, both face-to-face and virtually, accurately recording training sessions in the LMS.
  • Assessing learner knowledge, confidence, and understanding throughout training.

  • Experience in learning and development within the adult social care sector.
  • Experience in adult social care and related qualifications.
  • Knowledge of statutory and mandatory training requirements.
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and meeting neurodiversity learning needs.
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Level 3 (or above) in Health and Social Care (or similar).
  • A UK driving licence and own transport.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • The ideal candidate for this role should have experience in learning and development within the adult social care sector, as well as experience in adult social care and related qualifications. They should also have knowledge of statutory and mandatory training requirements, a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and meeting neurodiversity learning needs, and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or willingness to work towards it), as well as a Level 3 (or above) in Health and Social Care (or similar). A UK driving licence and own transport are also required.
