Job summary
The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering basic/routine planned building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS premises to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for all visitors, customers, and employees
Main duties of the job
Ensure compliance in line with all processes/procedures and policies that meets organisational standards/requirements including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy/HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda) or SFG20. To carry out and complete basic/routine maintenance activities as instructed, ensuring that operational standards are maintained at all times. This can include, but is not limited to, building fabric, general monthly PPM tasks, plumbing, drainage, joinery, and general decoration repairs. To maintain effective site log books at all NHS premises ensuring that they are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Complete suitable risk assessments prior to undertaking basic/routine works in line with instructions within any relevant permit or work plan.

Job responsibilities
We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Operative. This will be to join our team based in London - Lister Primary Care Centre The salary for this role is starting from £28,000. (depending on experience) plus on call allowance. This is Mobile role covering the South east London area. This is full time position working 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. - Qualifications NVQ Level 2 or higher BTEC/City & Guilds or equivalent.
- Formal apprenticeship or craft trained equivalent.
- Full UK Driving Licence. IPAF / PASMA license.
- Current CSCS Health & Safety Card Holder.
- IOSH Managing Safely
Experience
Essential
- Experience Previous experience of building services maintenance and repairs and minor installation projects.
- Basic building skills in plastering/ painting/decorating and/or plumbing.
- Working in controlled environments and public buildings. Previous experience working within Healthcare Services.
- Previous experience using CAFM reporting systems.
