Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NWSSP Finance Team in the role of Management Accountant. Based in our HQ in Nantgarw, Cardiff or Denbigh Stores, St Asaph, the role will provide you with a wide range of experience in financial management across NWSSP.The role requires a hard working, committed individual with financial experience and a good eye for detail who works well as part of a team working to strict deadlines.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
This position provides comprehensive financial management advice, support and information to managers at all levels. The key elements of the post include the production of an accurate monthly financial position, annual and ad hoc costing work, and supporting the budget holders on all financial matters.

- Educated to CCAB part qualified(Professional accountancy diploma level) or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing CPD
- Specialist Knowledge and experience of financial and accounting procedures

- Knowledge and experience of financial aspects of NHS legislation and NHS finance policies

- Experience of working within a Finance Department using financial systems
- Experience of financial management and business and financial planning
- Supervision of work processes and those of other junior staff
