Job Description

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic finance professional (Certificate level CCAB/CGMA, full member of AAT, or aFinance or Accounting degree) to join the Trusts Finance Team, playing a key role in shaping what our service delivery looks like and making a difference in the challenging financial environment, both now and in the future.

The successful candidate will support the Trust's Corporate Services Team and provide comprehensive financial advice and support managers to understand the efficiency and effectiveness of resources within their control. They will need to support the Finance Partners to deal with conflicting priorities and ensure that financial opportunities and risks are quantified and understood at all levels of the Trust, and optimum value for money is achieved.

We will consider applicants who are currently studying Certificate level CCAB/CGMA, AAT, or a Finance or Accounting degree, to start as a Transitional Management Accountant on Band 4.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

They should have excellent communication skills and the necessary personal qualities to engage effectively with service managers and their teams. We are looking to bring in fresh views and new practices so, whilst previous NHS experience can be a strength, we are also keen to hear from those who have never considered working for the NHS before.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
