Medical Administrator Data Quality Team
We are looking for a Medical Administrator to support our Data Quality Team. While previous experience in Read coding and summarising patient medical records is an advantage, it is not essential. More importantly, we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a methodical mindset, and a genuine interest in healthcare. Whether you are experienced or new to the role, you will receive comprehensive training to excel in your position.

Main duties of the job
You will code relevant clinical information into SystmOne using the Read coding formulary, ensuring all patient data is accurately captured and properly linked to the correct records.
Summarising medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible for healthcare professionals to make informed decisions. Working with both electronic and hard copy records, processing them in line with current policies and ensuring timely completion.
Assist the multi-disciplinary team by providing administrative support, distributing messages and enquiries, and helping with day-to-day tasks.
Liaise with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies like secondary care and community service providers, ensuring smooth communication and supporting the delivery of patient care.
Signposting patients to the right healthcare professional or service, manage appointments effectively, and always deliver a polite and professional service to patients.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Desirable:

- Medical records summarisation qualification.
- Customer Service qualification (NVQ) or equivalent.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a primary care environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of administrative duties.
