Job summary

We are looking to add a new administrator to our existing friendly, hardworking team.

x1 vacancy for 15 hours per week working the below pattern:

Monday 9am - 2pm

Thursday 1pm - 6pm

Friday 1pm - 6pm

We are looking for this role to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidates will be expected to work across the two sites.

Main duties of the job

  • This role is varied and covers all aspects of general practice admin. The ideal candidates must be a team player able to adapt to changing work practices and be flexible to cover sickness and holidays. The ideal candidates must have attention to detail as accuracy is a key requirement of the role. You must also have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

About us

The Chislehurst Partnership is a friendly high achieving suburban partnership in the London Borough of Bromley with a countryside feel. Currently operating from two sites (The Chislehurst Medical Practice & The Woodlands Practice). The Partnership ispassionate about providing a friendly, supportive and caring medical service to our population. The Partnership hopes to move to a purpose-built medical centre in the future but for the time being are operating from two premises.

We have a patient list size of circa 25,000. We are a 9 Partner partnership with a team of Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a Nursing team. Our staff are friendly and hard-working and together we provide a high level of care to the local community. We are a well organised, progressive, forward-thinking Partnership. We are part of the Mottingham, Downham & Chislehurst (MDC) Primary Care Network and share across our practices a wide range of additional roles including, Clinical pharmacists, Physicians associates, Social Prescribers, a Mental Health Practitioner and Paramedic.

Job responsibilities

Main duties of the role (not an exhaustive list) :

  • Read coding and annotating medical records on to EMIS Web
  • Scanning post
  • Filing medical records
  • Assisting the team with QOF work
  • Supporting the Safeguarding admin lead
  • Entering and extracting information via the computer system
  • Managing queries relating to the administration team
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for colleagues as agreed
  • Work across both sites
  • General Office administration as required

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Recognises the importance of patient services and value every patient and their needs
  • Previous experience as an administrator/receptionist or in a office based role, ideally in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer systems and office software.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Positive approach to developing themselves.
  • Enhanced DBS check (Practice will complete at employment).

Desirable

  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Previous admin experience
  • Previous EMIS web or DOCMAN experience
