We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator that is looking for a new challenge to work in an organisation that will help you develop and achieve your goals to become the best you can be.
We are looking for a Medical and Clinical Administrator to join our BeeU Mental Health Team(s) situated in the Telford Langley School and Hall Court, Telford. The BeeU Service provides emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people (ages 0 to 25) inShropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
The post holder will be working as part of a team along with other Medical and Clinical Administrators and Administrative Assistants. The post holder will be expected to be able to use their own initiative and judgement, although they will be well supported by other Mental Health Admin staff and through the clinical and professional networks accessible through the clinical teams.

Main duties of the job
The Medical & Clinical Administrator role is 37.5 hours per week, supporting the BeeU Mental Health/Crisis Team(s) in Telford. Our Administrators are an integral part of our Admin Team,and clinical teams rely on us to provide an efficient, effective service to support them in delivering the very best care to our patients. The offices are busy, and the role is challenging but it is alsorewarding.
What will the role entail?
Administration work for Consultant Psychiatrist/Doctors/Clinical Leads and other Mental Health Professionals.
Type a range of documents including emailed requests, copy typing, and audio transcription generated by the teams.
Diary/clinic management and daily operational tasks to support the Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Leads - scheduling appointments, supervisions etc.
Use a variety of electronic systems (MS Office, RiO, MICAD, E-Proc).
Manage and deal with calls from families, carers, and other professionals.
Confidently handling complex queries of a challenging/sensitive nature.
Concise and accurate message taking.
Using own initiative to proactively resolve problems.
Minute taking.
Utilise the patient administration system (RiO) on a daily basis keeping accurate records and booking of appointments.
Prioritise own workload and meet deadlines in order to meet the requirements of the post.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Essential
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent typing skills and ability to transcribe from audio with precision and speed
- Work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of Office Package (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Willing to travel to other locations on a regular basis
Desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Administration Experience
Essential
- Previous secretarial/administrative experience (1 year+)
- A good understanding of office procedures
- Working as part of a team
- Manage and prioritise own workload
- Dealing with the public
Desirable
- Previous experience of working within the NHS
- Use of RiO
Qualifications & Training
Essential
- NVQ 3 in Business Admin, finance, customer care or relevant experience
- Possesses a good standard of general education
- Possesses a recognised typing qualification (OCR Level 2 or equivalent) or can display word processing skills to an equivalent level of competence
Desirable
- Audio Transcription (OCR Level 2 or equivalent)
- ECDL
- OCR Level 3 Typing
