Job summary

Join our dynamic team of Medical Photographers and make a meaningful impact in clinical settings across King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital, and Ashfield Health Village. Your expertise in medical, ophthalmic, and PR photography will be crucial in capturing high-quality images for clinical assessment, records, teaching, publication, research, and evidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Photography:Perform day-to-day clinical photography, including ophthalmic imaging such as fluorescein angiography, red-free, color fundus, and ocular coherence tomography. Maintain and manage the digital patient database.
  • Non-Accidental Injuries:Undertake photography for non-accidental injuries, providing statements to the police and testifying in court if required.
  • Medico-Legal Evidence:Capture images for medico-legal and police evidence, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Complex Imaging:Conduct complex clinical photography and videography as requested by consultants for various purposes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely within a team to obtain photographs in dermatology and diabetic foot clinics weekly, and capture images of ward and clinic patients.

Person Specification

Essential

  • HND, City and Guild or equivalent in photography.
  • A high level of photographic ability with a proven track record
  • An imaginative and creative mind
  • Excellent standard of appearance and presentation to reflect the high profile nature of this role.
  • Ability to work with all professions throughout the Trust and with colleagues in partner organisations involved in the management or provision of health and social care services.

Desirable

  • Some knowledge of desktop publishing
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communications and organisational skills.
  • Skills in effective team working.
  • Basic telephone and computer skills, including Word, plus experience with specific software packages such as Adobe Photoshop
