Job summary
St Albans Medical Centre is looking for a part-time (approx 25.5 hrs/week over three days) receptionist person to join our friendly Practice.
You will be the first point of contact, promote a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors and support some administrative duties.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, friendly with excellent customer service skills and work well within a team while also able to use their own initiative.
Cover for your colleagues is essential. Please DO NOT apply if you can not be flexible to cover.
You must like a busy working environment and be adaptable to changes.
Training will be provided
Main duties of the job
You will be working in a customer facing role with calm manner, handling telephone/ face to face request for the service we provide.
Opening up and locking up of premises as appropriate.
Processing documentation and providing administrative support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice.
Main duties: booking appointments, processing prescriptions, dealing with patient queries.
Good IT skills and previous NHS receptionist would be advantageous.
About us
We are a medium size Practice with currently six part-time GPs and other friendly staff.
We work as a team.
We are located in a nice, leafy North Kingston with an easy access to Kingston town centre, river Thames and Richmond Park.
