Job summary
Mental Health Practitioner Salary: From £38,907 per annum Permanent: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 38 weeks, part time considered Location: Lufton College, Yeovil Cambian Group, the UKs largest provider of specialist services in childrens residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated individual to join the company as a Mental Health Practitioner. This post is a newly created role to join a successful expanding team, the post will require someone with previous experience of working in CAMHS settings.
Main duties of the job
You will be providing a therapeutic service to young people placed within Lufton College by assessing and identifying their needs and meeting them through consultation and training to Residential and Educational staff, direct therapeutic work, care planning and management in conjunction with the Multi-disciplinary team. Dependant on your experience you may be required to supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Healthcare Students and Assistants.

Job Role

The core of your role you will be providing specialist support following assessments of the children and young people at the education setting, a good working knowledge of how to formulate and implement a person centred approach based on the mental health needs of the individual either through direct or indirect interventions based on evidence based practices and in conjunction with the wider MDT at the site.

Hold an RMN or RLDN Qualification Registered withNMC Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills Good organisational and time management skills.
