Hastings & Rother Assessment and Treatment Service is a multi-disciplinary service for adults with complex mental health problems. Our work is at times challenging, but we do receive regular positive feedback from our service users and carers.Our office is right in the thick of Hastings vibrant and quirky culture and benefits from amazing sea views, with the prom right across the road. Job responsibilities
The role will include:Co-running group treatmentsSupporting the team with required support as needed and facilitating access to full pathways of careCo-creating risk assessments and Care plans with Service UsersDelivering individual, psychologically informed interventionsCarry out relevant risk assessments and risk management with the multi-disciplinary teamSupport service users in highly distressing or emotional circumstances.Engage with and gather information from service users, relatives and patient records to develop a formulation.Working in collaboration with individual service users and their family and carers as appropriate to develop care plans that are focused on strengths and are outcome based.To attend multi-disciplinary reviews and act as a care co-ordinator, for a caseload of service users in order to support and monitor progress during the course of multi-disciplinary interventions.To set collaborative goals for intervention with service users
Person Specification
Qualification and registration
Essential
- A graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health) or post graduate certificate achieved via the Graduate Mental Health Practitioner training plus the additional certified MHWP training modules.
- Registered as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner on a professional register recognised for this role by NHS England
Knowledge/Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice
- Experience running groups/activities
- Experience working as part of a team
- Experience of being supervised
- Experience of analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing
