Contractual Requirements

Essential

  • Ability to work full or part time
  • Ability to work day times only

Knowledge

Essential

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to recognise own limitations in the context of the Nursing Associate role
  • Ability to participate in reflective practice

Desirable

  • IT skills

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
  • Foundation degree level specific to Nursing Associate practice
  • GCSEs Grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Educated to a minimum level 5

Desirable

  • Health and Social Care Level 2/3 or equivalent experience

Training

Essential

  • Demonstrate willingness for ongoing learning

Experience

Essential

  • Understand the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in the context of the team and the organisation, and how the role contributes to service development

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working within a health/care setting
