Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Support Manager to join the Locality Therapy and Nursing Services Pathway. This role requires strong leadership and management skills to support both non-clinical and clinical workforces, ensuring the delivery of a caring, efficient, safe, and effective service.

Main duties of the job

Job Purpose:As the Operational Support Manager, you will support the community nursing and therapy teams, based across Oxfordshire, to deliver a high quality and effective service. This will involve leadership and management of non-clinical staff across the county, developing and embedding county wide processes. The role will involve operational support to clinical services such as supporting the delivery of KPIs, maintaining rosters and oversight of office environment and stock control.

In addition, the post holder will lead on county-wide initiatives includingpromoting patient engagement, service developments and QI projects.

The post holder will travel regularly to trust sites across the county.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on all aspects of staff recruitment for administrative and non-clinical staff, including writing and updating job descriptions, managing job evaluations, and overseeing the selection and induction processes.
  • Maintain staff rotas, manage pay queries, and ensure submission of staff expenses.
  • Manage the running of clinical services, ensuring service optimization and adherence to current employment law.
  • Monitor national, regional, and local developments impacting community services and take an active part in local networks.
  • Manage teams to support delivery of KPIs and ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with national NHS data protection and release guidelines.

  • Be educated to degree level or have relevant evidenced experience
