Job summary

An exciting development opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Orthodontic department based at the Royal Gwent Hospital. The successful candidate would be able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills, be flexible to the needs of the service and able to demonstrate a commitment to achieving high standards of work.

Main duties of the job

To provide essential support to the booking clerks in all areas of admin work in Orthodontics. Post holder must have a flexible approach to carry out duties needed to support the departments to meet needs of the service. Role includes but is not limited to handling telephone calls, folding letters, tracking pulling and prepping of patient notes, scanning relevant patient documentation, prepping of clinics and other duties required in accordance with Health Board policies and procedures.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Previous clerical experience or similar

  • Good standard of education to include Maths and English GSCE
  • Use and knowledge of IT packages and applications, including Microsoft Office

Desirable

  • Knowledge of relevant organisational policies
