Job summary
We are looking for a Patient Administrator to join our Endoscopy team on a fixed term contract until Jan 2026.There may be an opportunity that this could go permanent.
You will be based at our Endoscopy unit in Ipswich. As a Patient Administrator with InHealth, you will ensure our patients receive a professional and patient focused service throughout their diagnostic pathway. Working alongside your clinical colleagues in a dynamic, fast paced environment, you will also provide administrative support for the endoscopy services we provide.
Shifts are 8am - 6pm / 37.5 hour contract / 4 days a week
Main duties of the job
What you will do:
- Providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for all patients, coordinating their arrival through to departure
- Dealing with telephone and direct enquiries in a prompt and effective manner, ensuring the provision of information and prioritisation of queries as appropriate
- Ensuring that clinically validated appointments are booked appropriately and according to clinical priority on the appointments system
- Tracking and distributing imaging data and reports to referrers, ensuring that results are dispatched in line with clinical priority and contractual performance indicators
- Assisting in the completion of month end administrative procedures for the management team
- Ensuring all patients are invoiced promptly and accurately and that payment is taken on the day, recorded, and banked promptly
- Experienced working in a customer or patient focused environment
- Confident using Microsoft packages and other IT systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multi skilled team
