Job summary
Welcome to Medina Healthcare on the Isle of Wight. We're recruiting a patient advisor to join our friendly and professional team.
The successful candidate will have a desire to provide a high standard of customer service, be able to adapt to a fast pace of chance and be flexible in their working hours.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, will be computer literate, well organised and capable of paying attention to detail.
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the Patient Advisor. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks, this will be dependent upon such factors such as workload and staffing levels
Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
Process personal, telephone and e request appointments
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
Signpost patients to the correct service
Imitating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
Photocopy documentation as required
Data Entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary
Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance, solicitors letters and DVLA forma to the administrative team
Carry out system searches as requested
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
To undertake any other duties as deemed appropriate by the practice

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

- AMSPAR Receptionists Qualification
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
Experience

- Experience of working with the general public
- Experience of providing excellent customer service
- Experience with using basic IT Systems
