Main duties of the job

As a Project Support Officer , you will support key projects and services across the Leicester City South PCN, ensuring smooth operations and effective delivery. Your responsibilities will include providing project and administrative support, managing data and reporting processes, and collaborating with clinicians and stakeholders to enhance patient care.

Inclusion Healthcare: 45 East Bond Street, LE1 4SX

Sturdy Road Health & Wellbeing Centre: 182 Sturdee Road, LE2 9DB

Job Purpose

The role of the PCN Project Support Officer will support various services and contractual requirements run within the PCN, including specific project work, and standing administrative responsibilities. They will also assist the PCN Management Team in maintaining robust data collection and reporting processes and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and policies

Operational Responsibilities

Project Support

Provide project support for existing and future projects of LCS PCN

Support the Enhanced Access Service

Develop and run searches on SystmOne clinical system

Undertake data analysis and assist with a range of services evaluation monitoring

Engage with relevant clinicians for the services and stakeholder practices of the PCN

Assist the PCN Management Team with collation and production of project and service documentation, including reports and presentations

Develop and maintain databases and systems for monitoring and evaluation

Engage with the PCN practices to present findings, recommendations and to deliver actions agreed

Support training of staff as appropriate to improve service outcomes

Administration Tasks

Support the administrative tasks of services and PCN DES contract delivery that includes appointment and referral management for patients

Provide administrative support to the PCN Board, including agenda setting, room booking, informing people of their follow-up action points

Support the PCN Management Team in the day to day running of the PCN, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures

Responsible for developing and maintaining systems for storage and retrieval of information, ensuring information is accessible to other members of the PCN

Communication and Relationships

The PCN Project Support Officer should recognise the importance of effective communication within the team. They will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to:

Participating in relevant internal and external working groups

Working collaboratively across organisations

Personal/Professional Development

The PCN Project Support Officer will take responsibility for their own development and learning and will participate in an annual performance appraisal to review the individuals performance against agreed targets.

IM&T

In accordance with the Practice protocols, policies and procedures, the PCN Project Support Officer will comply with all information management and information technology protocols and systems.

Location

This role will require regular travel amongst the PCN member practices and business meeting locations within the LCS locality.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience

Evidence of a sound education to A level standard or equivalent

Evidence of a commitment to continuing professional development

Significant experience in an administrative and project support role

Experience and success of communicating with people

Experience of working in teams; able to promote teamwork

Working in a computer environment

Good understanding payment reconciliation

Quality improvement experience

Project management experience

Knowledge and Understanding

Relevant knowledge of Primary Care Networks, General Practice and the wider Health and Social Care policies

An appreciation of the NHS agenda and Government targets

Skills and Competencies

Computer literate with an ability to use SystmOne (desirable) and Microsoft office packages (essential)

Understand the aims of current healthcare policy within the PCN

Able to analyse, interpret and present data

Has attention to detail, able to work accurately

Has a planned and organised approach with an ability to prioritise their own workload to meet strict deadlines

Able to think analytically; anticipating obstacles and thinking ahead; using analytical techniques to draw logical solutions to problems

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to adjust communication style and content to suit the audience

An excellent understanding of data protection and confidentiality issues
