Job summary
Working in a busy hospice environment, the role will support the effective running of our Portering team. The post holder will undertake a varied role with a flexible approach, as well as security within the hospice. This may include collection and delivery of goods, monitoring all areas of the hospice for faults, issues etc., ensuring the exterior of the hospice is kept safe, clean and presentable, carrying out security checks and making sure points of entry are all secured as required. The Porter role also includes the transportation of patients, clinical packages and supplies to and from the hospice all while maintaining a high standard of customer care.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, with some maintenance and health and safety knowledge. The post holder must hold a full, clean driving licence. You must be able to work well in a team and have good interpersonal and communication skills, along with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. Flexibility in order to cover the needs of a 24/7 service and a commitment to the vision and values of Bolton Hospice are essential. Experience of dealing with security issues would be an advantage.

Job responsibilities
Porter Our Porter Team at Bolton Hospice are a vital and important part of the all departments within the hospice. We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive Porter to join the hospice as part of our facilities team. The success post holder will provide and maintain a professional, efficient and timely service to our patients, visitors and departments within.
£15,063 per annum (WTE £25,185)
(Unsocial hours enhancements paid in addition to basic salary)
Part Time 24 hours per week
Mon-Thurs 14.30-20.30
