Job summary
We are looking for an Practice Nurse manager to join our team. We are excited by the prospect of welcoming a suitably trained nurse manager to join our team and lead on nursing services in Northamptonshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including health assessments, immunisation, cytology, wound care, and other clinical duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and a strong commitment to providing quality healthcare services. Responsibilities:
- Provide health education to patients and their families.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Salary will be dependent upon experience
Main duties of the job
This role will involve Nurse management, leading the nursing team, responding to changes in nursing practice and reporting to the GP partners and Operations manager.
Clinical roles include, but not limited to
Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate programmes which promote health and well being, and prevent adverse effects on health and well being
Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate individual treatment plans for patient with a known long term condition
Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long term condition as appropriate.
Undertakes agreed procedures eg - blood pressure, pulse rate and rhythm, temperature, height and weight body mass index, venepuncture, ear syringing, ECG, peak flow readings, cytology, travel and childhood vaccinations, interpretation of blood results via the pathology link
Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiating effective emergency care.
Review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patients needs and in accordance with evidence based practice and national and practice protocols
Lead on wound care management, participate in immunisation programmes for both adults and children
Lead on Nursing staff appraisals, day to day management of the nursing team.
Lead on infection control.

We have a new opportunity for a Practice Nurse Manager to join our team in Northamptonshire. We have 5 sites in Northamptonshire including Corby, Weldon, Wollaston and Bozeat. All sites are training practices and the entire team shares the educational ethos whilst looking after our medical students, FY2 and GP registrars.
We also have an experienced nursing team including Health Care Assistants.
In Northamptonshire we currently offer services to non-registered patients such as vasectomy, enhanced minor surgery, community wax clinic and provide medical support to two private mental health unit.

High QOF achievers
CQC rating is good.
