Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Insourcing Pre-Assessment Nurse to join our team in Bradford. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting pre-assessment evaluations for patients, ensuring they are fully prepared for their surgical procedures while working with external healthcare providers to streamline the pre-assessment process.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive pre-assessment evaluations for patients scheduled for surgeries or procedures.
- Collaborate with external healthcare providers to ensure seamless integration of pre-assessment services.
- Review patient medical histories, medications, and allergies.
- Conduct clinical observations and diagnostic tests, including blood pressure, ECG, and blood tests.
- Provide patients with pre-operative information and instructions, ensuring they understand the procedure, risks, and necessary preparations.
- Create and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Identify potential health issues or complications and communicate findings to the appropriate medical staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all assessments and interactions in patient records.
- Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, addressing any concerns they may have.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training activities to stay current with best practices in pre-assessment nursing.

- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC registration.
- Experience working with insourcing or external healthcare providers.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.

- At least 1 years total experience in pre-assessment nursing
- At least 6 months experience in the last 3 years
