Job summary

The Colte Partnership has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active receptionist to join the team based in our Colne Medical Centre. This is a part-time position for for between 16 - 25 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

  • Booking appointments.
  • Greeting patients.
  • Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff.
  • Updating patient records, processing correspondence and liaising with patients using various different types of communication methods.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and orally.
  • Strong IT skills and be able to use computer based systems.
  • Friendly and positive approach towards patients and other visitors either in person or over the telephone.
  • Ideally you will have previous reception experience and working within primary care.
  • Have the flexibility to cover other shifts.

Desirable

  • Experience of EMIS would be desirable, however full training will be given.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard of education
