Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. The right person should be a self-starter, enthusiastic, motivated, caring and creative ideally with experience of working in a substance misuse environment.
Main duties of the job
As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. You will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team who will support you in your development and your ability to deliver the best care you can to our service users. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they're always treated with respect and dignity.

Our services are busy and dynamic, with a strong recovery focus. If you have a compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others, you could be just what we're looking for. WithYou works closely with the lead provider, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and partners, Phoenix Futures and Humankind providing free and confidential support to adults in Lambeth experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol. This role is based in The Harbour, which is part of the Lambeth drug and alcohol service providing ongoing recovery support to our clients.
As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

This role is part time, 22.5 hours per week.
The salary for this position is £23,821 - £31,762 per annum pro rata plus an Inner London Weighting of £2,759 per annum.

- You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
