Job summary
This is a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer role with Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of high-quality care and support services in the UK. As part of this role, you'll work across three different care homes in the region, providing a range of clinical tasks and leading your colleagues to deliver person-centred care for our residents.
Main duties of the job
As a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer, you'll be responsible for monitoring and helping to plan each resident's care, including reviews and risk assessments. You'll need to be a strong communicator, a confident team player, and someone who is always seeking opportunities for further development. You'll be required to work flexibly, including some long shifts that may involve standing for extended periods.

ABOUT THE ROLEAs Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer with Barchester care homes, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. Always respecting the dignity and preferences of our residents, you'll carry out a range of clinical tasks, including taking blood pressure, for example. You'll need to lead and inspire your colleagues and introduce ideas and changes that will make every day fulfilling for our staff and residents alike. As this is a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer role, you'll work across three different homes in the region (your travel will be paid per mile). This means you'll need to be flexible when it comes to working days and nights, bank holidays and weekends.
ABOUT YOUYou'll need a Level 2 NVQ or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer. With experience of providing care and support, ideally for older people, you'll know how to monitor and help plan each resident's care, including reviews and risk assessments. Dedicated and compassionate, you'll be a strong communicator and a confident team player who can lead others. We're looking for someone who always seeks out opportunities for further clinical or personal development, and you'll be happy to complete all regulatory and statutory training as well as complying with our own clinical policies and strategies. You'll also need to be comfortable with working some long shifts that could involve standing for extended periods of time.

Essential
- You'll need a Level 2 NVQ or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join Barchester as a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer. You'll also need experience of providing care and support, ideally for older people.
