Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join our hardworking and dynamic nursing team in the highly performing and fast paced Emergency Department at South Warwickshire University Foundation Trust.
The Emergency Department has an experienced and dedicated Clinical Learning Lead team focused on supporting the personal and professional development of our nursing team. Additionally, we are supported by consultants, junior doctors, clinical educators and a caring and dedicated multi-disciplinary team; all who want to make a difference for our patients.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, and implementation and evaluation of the programme of the care. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Job responsibilities
Take clinical responsibility for patients within your allocated area of work
Continuously assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment, using appropriate programmes/methods of care
To ensure a high delivery of quality care in accordance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines. Participating in activities to improve the quality, productivity and effectiveness of care in response to local and national policies and initiatives
To practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional conduct and scope of professional practice and maintain own NMC registration
Showing empathy, understanding, and professionalism, when communicating with patients, their carers and families. Identifying individual needs and therefore utilising a range of agreed communication mediums
Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and all levels of staff
Maintain confidentiality at all times, as required by legislation and Trust policy
Ensure records and documentation are maintained, kept confidential, and meets professional NMC guidelines, appropriate Trust standards, and in line with the Data Protection Act
To act in a professional manner, and as a role model, at all times, leading by example to junior members of the team
Demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work in order to maintain high morale and motivation within the department. Promoting a professional and positive working environment
