Trust: - East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust

Location: - Canterbury

Pay Rates:Day £19.01 per hour

Sat/Nights £24.82 per hour

Sun/Bank Hols £30.55 per hour

Shift Patterns: -Monday to Friday. 08.30 - 16.30 or 09.00 - 17.00

What you can add:

  • The Radiology nursing team provide an invaluable service supporting patients undergoing Radiology guided procedures across the Trusts three acute hospital sites.
  • While previous Radiology nursing experience is preferable, full induction and training will be provided.
  • The main duties of the role will be Supporting consultant Radiologists undertaking radiologically guided procedures (Ultrasound and CT guided procedures-Biopsies and drainages), patient care and management while in the Radiology department and handover to the ward/discharge post procedure
  • Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
  • Checking symptoms and vital signs and arranging diagnostic tests
  • Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinical situations
  • Working as an effective team member and promoting team and interdisciplinary relationships

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

What youll need:

  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
  • IV Cannulation

  • Clinical management of patients
  • Familiar with supporting aseptic technique procedures
  • Pre-assessment of patients prior to procedures
