Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Community Therapy Team as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant.

As a vital part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering a patient-centred rehabilitation service, working closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

? Deliver rehabilitation through therapy interventions, which may include support with personal care tasks, cognition and mobility? Carry out rehabilitation plans as delegated by occupational therapists and physiotherapists.? Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with service users, families, and the therapy team.? Be flexible to support the team during peak service times.? Participate in the 7-day service rota, including weekends, delivering rehabilitation between 8am and 8pm.

About You

? Passionate about patient care and rehabilitation.? Excellent communication and teamwork skills.? Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.? Organised with good time management skills.? Experience in a healthcare or therapy setting is desirable but not essential.

Person Specification

Qualification/Knowledge

Essential

  • Level 3 education or equivalent e.g. BTEC, NVQ 3 and A Levels
  • Significant experience, skills, knowledge and experience equivalent to level 3 with a willingness to achieve this qualification
  • Good knowledge of health and social care

Desirable

  • Working towards or achieved Diploma in Occupational Therapy Support / Physiotherapy Support / Rehabilitation

  • Experience of working across statutory or voluntary organisations
