Job summary

Who are we? The Waterlily Inpatient Prevention Programme is a pioneering and relatively new intensive online treatment programme for patients with anorexia nervosa, living in the east midlands region. The region includes Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire, working as a provider collaborative to meet the needs of this vulnerable patient group.

Who do we want? Band 6 Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist, who has experience working with patients with eating disorders.

What do we do? Deliver an online group programme, Monday to Friday, 8.30am till 4.30pm. We run educational and therapeutic groups and provide meal supervisions. There is one evening meal each week, which we are hoping to increase the regularity of as our staffing increases. Although the majority of the treatment is delivered online, there is also some face to face work on an individual basis and community support for activities such as home cooking, visits to cafes or for shopping.

Who's the team? We are a team of enthusiastic and skilled clinicians OTs, RMNs, Assistant Psychologists, Therapy Support Workers. We are passionate about providing a much needed alternative option of treatment, other than inpatient admission or long-term outpatient therapy.

Main duties of the job

You will need to work in the Lincolnshire area and be based at St Georges Site, Lincolnshire. However, you will also work from home or be out in the community across Lincolnshire. You will be asked to come to our Leicester base at the Glenfield Hospital once a month, or more if you wish to.

The post holder will take a lead in facilitating and co-facilitating online groups with the support of other experienced clinicians, from across the provider collaborative. See below for more!

The main aspects of the role will be to:

• Work 1:1 with patients as keyworker to patients on the programme
• Facilitate online groups, supporting all patients on the programme. Provide meal supervisions
• Devise patient centred care plans Implement and review plans of care.
• Work with the dietitian for meal planning.
• Provide supervision to less experienced staff
• Be involved in training and development of staff
• Risk management
• Work collaboratively with carers and loved ones involved.
