Job summary

As a Project Support Officer, you will provide administrative support to the projects and programmes across the work of the organisation and, as required, the wider Health Innovation Network (HIN), supporting innovation, evaluation and insight, and implementing projects across health and care in the West of England.

We are recruiting 3 roles with full time, part time and flexible working arrangements available.

We seek candidates who excel working as part of a collaborative team whilst valuing the opportunity to work autonomously, utilising your attention to detail and efficient administrative skills to support a project through to completion.

Candidates for this role will have proven personal organisation and time management skills, possessing a strong desire to deliver highest levels of service.

Main duties of the job

  • Providing project administrative support to the projects and programmes across the work of the business and, as required, the wider HIN implementing projects across healthcare in the West of England.
  • Lead on specific elements of project implementation e.g. communications, training, infrastructure and data collection.
  • First point of contact for enquiries on an ad hoc basis from stakeholders as part of the project implementation, supporting and training.
  • The post holder will contribute to additional identified projects as required in line with the HIN's Business Plan and Project Portfolio.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Preparation of written reports or presentations and manuals
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Demonstrable experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team
  • Excellent communication skills - written, spoken and grammar
  • Previous experience of working in healthcare, academia, innovation, or another environment which the HIN operates within.

Desirable

  • A working knowledge of Verto project management software solution, or similar
  • Use of E-roster.

Specific skills

Essential

  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills with significant knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpointt
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across organisational boundaries - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to travel throughout locality to undertake duties as required, will need to attend the office base at least once per month to attend staff meeting.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of Equality and Diversity.
  • Awareness of NHS programmes and policies.
