Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Specialist nurse to join our dynamic, caring and professional respiratory nursing team.
Working in the primary and community care setting, the successful candidate will be expected to work across the health board and will be responsible for delivering safe, high quality care to patients with respiratory conditions and/or those requiring home oxygen, with the aim of providing that care closer to home.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of specialist Nurses for those patients with respiratory conditions and oxygen at home.
Working across the health board in the primary and community care setting, the successful candidate will work both in patients homes and clinic setting. Working collaboratively to provide safe, timely care closer to home, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality nursing practice focusing on the delivery of evidence based practice for respiratory patients and the provision of preventative health care.
The post holder will provide specialist nursing knowledge support to other health care professionals and provide advice for patients and their family with long term respiratory conditions and those requiring home oxygen therapy. Working across the health board they will also support pulmonary rehabilitation and undertake spirometry were required within their role.
In addition, they will support the delivery of policy and procedures, and provide nurse leadership as required.
The desired candidate will have a passion for safe, high quality service delivery , putting the patient at the centre of care delivery.
