Exciting GP Opportunity at Sid Valley Practice in Sidmouth, Devon

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a GP to join our friendly, energetic, and forward-thinking practice in Sidmouth, located on Devons stunning Jurassic Coast. Sidmouth, well-known for its annual Folk Festival, is a charming town surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty, just 30 minutes from Exeter. Main duties of the job

This is a list-holding position open to both experienced GPs and newly qualified GPs, offering 6-8 sessions per week with flexibility to develop specialist interests. If you are new to General Practice, you will be a list-holder with comprehensive support and guidance to help you develop your skills and confidence in the role. There are also potential opportunities for partnership with property investment. Our modern and well-equipped practice features a new extension, including 2 surgical theatres, a duty hub, and private rooms. On-site parking is available for all staff.

We are a CQC-rated "Good" training practice, committed to providing excellent care to our patients while maintaining a supportive and collaborative environment for our staff. Our multidisciplinary team includes doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, HCAs, and our PCN team, which offers support from pharmacy, physiotherapy, mental health and wellbeing, and care home teams. We also provide strong support from community teams, including district nursing, Urgent Community Response, and the Sidmouth Hospice at Home palliative care team.

Job responsibilities

The General Practitioner (GP) will work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the contract. Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

  • Qualified GP

  • Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
